Gregory Being Interviewed - Gerald Edwards III

So last week before the opening of Gregory’s show at Luhring Augustine, CBS Sunday Morning came to the gallery, and the studio to film a whole heaping bunch of intereviews, rad action shots, and all around deep insights into what goes on in this world of photography. Kylie sported her skills in the Photoshop, doing a staged demo of sorts about how the compositing process takes place, and I got to be the girl in the bikini showing off the sleek, monolithic Epson 11880 printer that we produced the entire show on, in Gregory’s undersized-for-this-task space. The CBS piece airs April 20, it’s pretty amazing to see how much makeup the correspondents wear on camera, and the day before coming to visit the studio, the film crew had been on the bus with Obama, and were totally stoked on him.

Pictures from Recent Photographs . See Gregory’s website for more info on the exhibitions

There have been some completely magical moments over last few years in the small towns of western Massachusetts, the act of getting to witness such a beautiful confluence of light will be something I definitely won’t ever forget. Seeing these photographs come together from the camera’s point of view over the days of planning, construction, and finally shooting is unreal.  That and I am constantly amazed by the brilliance of so many of the people I have had the pleasure of meeting while being on these photo shoots. Friends for life, and amazing educators if you can get them to slow down long enough to show you what’s up.
